Adam Grant’s book Think Again could be our book of the year (and it’s only February!). One memorable bite-sized nugget is value of curiosity over closure. Wait…what?!? Curiosity – knowing there’s another layer to explore with the individual, situation, headline, or opportunity… over closure – desire to wrap it up & move onto the next thing. In a world of swiping, liking and box-checking, we’re more interested in what’s next vs. what’s now. We want closure – in our work, politics, and even relationships. Curiosity requires an investment of time… limits our productivity… and often leads us down the path toward a life worth living.
