Connection matters. Yet, in spite of all our social media “friends,” face-to-face zoom interactions, and 18.7 billion (yes, with a “B”) text message communications per day(!!) flying around, this insightful article from the Washington Post lays out the data that Americans are choosing to be alone. The article spells out some things worth considering. Maybe a good starting point is to ask myself “Who could I reach out to today to invite them to coffee, a real phone conversation or similar?”
