Deb is a National-Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and was one of the coaches who was there at the launch of US Corporate Wellness in 2007. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and is also a licensed physical therapist assistant. She was drawn to the world of wellness coaching because of a fascination with the role that motivation plays in human behavior, especially in making healthy choices.
Deb literally grew up in the gym, with a physical education teacher and multi-sport coach as a dad. As a result, her love for exercise and healthy living came naturally as a child and has continued into adulthood, with her current hobbies including hiking, strength training, biking, skiing and even salsa dancing! She has enjoyed being active with her 3 children over the years and has felt blessed by the many outdoor recreational opportunities living in the foothills of Colorado has provided.
Having been through some interesting twists and turns in her life, including raising a son with Down Syndrome, Deb has tried to adopt the mantra “Never let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do” (Myles Munroe). She strives to hold this philosophy up as an encouragement to those who are struggling with their own health challenges. She considers it an enormous privilege to be allowed to journey alongside her clients.
