Carmel Buckingham

Carmel is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with additional certifications from the Health Coach Institute and Chris Kresser’s ADAPT Functional Health Coach Training Program. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and specializes in women’s health and holistic wellness, bringing together evidence-based coaching techniques and a warm, client-centered approach.

Before entering the field of health and wellness, Carmel built a successful career in advertising in Mexico City and New York. Life then took her on a global adventure, giving her the opportunity to live in five culturally rich countries—Ecuador, Peru, South Korea, Japan, and Russia. These experiences deepened her appreciation for different lifestyles, the role of community in shaping habits, and the diverse ways people pursue health and balance. Her background—both personally and professionally—has given her a unique ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, understand their challenges, and provide tailored coaching that meets them where they are.

Carmel lives in Southern California, where she enjoys spending time outdoors exploring beaches, trails, canyons, and seasonal festivals. She’s passionate about food and happily admits to being a better eater than cook (though she’s working on it!). She has one son who lives abroad, so she especially treasures the times they’re able to meet up and share new experiences. Carmel brings warmth, humor, a global perspective, and a deep commitment to helping others thrive.
